EKTAR 100 on 120 format is, quite simply, one of the most technically impressive combinations available to the film photographer today. Take a film that already delivers near-medium-format levels of detail in 35mm, spread it across a negative four times larger, and the result is resolution and color fidelity that rival what most digital cameras can produce at base ISO. The grain, already vanishingly fine at 35mm, essentially ceases to exist as a visible phenomenon at 6×7 — you will hit the resolution limit of your lens, your scanner, or your technique long before you hit the limit of the film.
